Makboula Yasin

Makboula Yasin is the Executive Director of the United Palestinian Appeal, Inc (UPA) in Washington, D.C., a non-profit, non-political, American development organization dedicated to alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and refugee camps in Lebanon. UPA provides emergency humanitarian relief, charity, and long term infrastructural development directly to Palestinian communities striving for economic and community development in the wake of ongoing conflict.

Through her work with UPA since 1993, Ms. Yasin cultivated an extensive network of global corporate and philanthropic donors around the world, in particular throughout the Middle East and the United States. Additionally, Ms. Yasin has built extensive networks and relationships with local institutions throughout Palestine and the Middle East, as well as partner organizations in the US. She successfully managed UPA’s programs in the areas of Health, Education and Community Development in cooperation with local reputable NGO’s in West Bank, Gaza and refugee camps in Lebanon.

Prior to joining UPA, Ms. Yasin was the Marketing and Advertising Manager at Al Ghanim Industries in Kuwait from 1985 to1989. She has also worked as an Account Executive from 1980 to 1984 at Impact and Echo Advertising Agency in Kuwait, an affiliate of BBDO Advertising Agency in New York.

Makboula Yasin received her Master Degree in Management/Marketing from Southeastern University in 1991 and her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Kuwait University in 1980.
